- Increased greenness along the Mississippi River. This represents growing
corn, soybeans, and cotton
- Little change in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota forested areas
- Much of the Southwest showing decreased greenness when compared to
the previous period
- Decreased greenness in eastern Washington wheat growing areas
- Increased greenness in western Washington forested areas
